What's all the hype?

it helps your body absorb more nutrients from fruit and vegetables

Our bodies were not created for things like fast food, or unhealthy foods in general, which over the years can really impair digestion. Once our digestive system is out of whack, our bodies have a very hard time absorbing nutrients from food. By juicing, we are skipping a step when it comes to digestion, so our bodies don't have to do the work for us...thanks juicer!

It's easier than eating raw vegetables

We're supposed to be eating at least six servings of veggies a day, What I didn't realize is how many nutrients are destroyed in the cooking process. In one cup of juice, you can hit your daily target and maximize your nutrient intake.

Juicing 101

80/20

Your ratio should follow the 80/20 rule. 80% of the juice coming from vegetables, mainly greens, and 20% coming from fruit. Fruit should mainly be used to help mask the bitter taste of veggies, but the vast majority of the supercharging nutrients will come from your vegetables.

This is a really article I came across about what to juice, and what to avoid.

What kind of juicer should I get?

There are two types of juicers:

1. Centrifugal Juice Extractors

2. Masticating Juicers

I have a centrifugal juicer. Traditionally, this is the most common type of juicer. These juicers are much faster, and are much easier to clean (what every mom needs, right?). They are also the better choice if your goal is weight loss because it will allow you to get more fiber, which suppresses your appetite and keeps you full longer.

I have a Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor and I absolutely LOVE it! It is very easy to use, and super easy to clean!
